Samsung S6 bought from CPW / Pay monthly - Unlock request rejected!!!

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hope someone here can help me. I bought Samsung S6 from Carphone Warehouse and I am now 12 months into my contract (2 years). Last week I submitted a request to unlock my phone and it got rejected!

I am not sure why?

- Its a pay monthly

- Its locked to first SIM that was used in it which is O2

- O2 unlocks all pay monthly phones for free

Can someone help?

It's not locked mate.
Just change sim cards.

S6's don't lock to first sim, you are getting confused with 6s (iPhone)

This is the email I have just received (obfuscated):

Dear ZZZZZ

Thank you for your unlatching request for IMEI YYYY. The

mobile number that you provided is XXXX.

I'm sorry, we have not been able to unlatch your device at this time.

The reason given is:

This is not an O2 device, it will not be possible for us to provide an

unlatching code.

Thank you,

O2 Customer Service
