Solved: Question about phone purchased abroad

Hello everyone! I want to get the new S22 Plus or Ultra on pay monthly with 02. I currently have the S20 Plus 5G but I purchased this phone in Korea while I was studying there. I was curious - with trade-ins, would this matter? Would I have had to purchase the phone in the UK to get the 'trade-in' discount? My issue is Samsung pay doesn't work as the sim says "This isn't available as an overseas sim is inserted"

It's likely the trade in value will be knocked down when the phone is assessed, but the only way to know for sure is to send it in for appraisal.
