Ordering sim card for new phone

Can anyone help?  I have been trying to order a new sim card for over a week now and have not been able to speak to anyone at 02 as lines are 'busy' and there is no facility for ordering 'online' unless I want an upgrade. If I purchased a sim would it be possible to activate?

Is this a replacement sim or an additional contract @Norma 

It may be best to persevere with ringing them, people are getting through but it's a very frustrating time at the moment.

Thank you for your advice, I will keep trying as it's a replacement sim that I require for a new phone.

You need to call customer services to activate it.
Plus if it is a replacement for a lost or stolen sim you will need to get the account bars removed.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
