O2 switch up when pre ordering

how does switch up in a store work for a pre order? If I was to go in store on Friday to pre order the new iPhone would I be expected to hand over my current phone then or do I keep this until my new phone arrives in the store for collection on launch day or whatever day it will be?

You are expected to pay a deposit of £50 on Friday (after 1pm) in store and then on the day you do the switch up,(when the phone arrives)  they do the checks on your handset and complete the switchup...

@madasaf1sh thanks for the reply. So you don't actually do anything in terms of the contract until the phone arrives you just simply order the phone into store by paying a £50 deposit and then the contract is processed when the phone arrives?

No you don't do anything until the phone arrives, apart from paying the £50 @Benlfc
