You might have a sim card failure.

Other things - are all your bills up to date? Have you tried your sim in another phone? Or another sim in your phone?
If all else fails, you can get a new sim card by visiting your local o2 store (take photo ID) or by calling customer services on 0344 809 0202 or 0800 081 0255 - and you can call the second for free using Skype ( Guide: A Guide to Skype ).
Using customer services will mean the new sim is posted out to you, so it might take a few days to arrive.
Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
