I have been with o2 for around 6 months. Last week I took out another sim only contract without any issues.

I want to take out another two sim only Contacts so that the whole family are with o2.

I’ve just tried to sign up again, and am receiving an error.

”Unable to continue. As well as our credit scoring system, we use business policies to check all new applications…..”

I was on the WhatsApp chat, and was told that nothing can be done about this.

I tried this under my name (existing account) and my wife’s name (new account) - both got the same result. We don’t have any credit issues, and have never had anything declined in the past.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Each SIM only contact entails a hard credit search which stays on file for 6 months, so the first additional SIM would be fine.

O2 are quite strict and I guess more searches are a no with them.

Nothing to do with credit scores which are meaningless.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
