Hi everyone! I have an Android phone with Android 13. I'm not able to send MMS, but I can receive them. I've tried reducing the photo size down to less than 50kb but still nothing. The loading icon just spins around for 5 minutes on the message and eventually shows an error that it cannot be sent. Is there any idea what might be wrong? In "Access point names" within Mobile Networks, O2 Pay Monthly has been set. Alternatives such as Whatsapp are not possible for me for this contact as they have a basic phone. Can anyone shed any light as to why this is happening?

What's your spend cap? MMS are chargable messages

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

No spend cap, I just had a look so it should be all OK. When I try to send the message I noticed the data send/receive icon doesn't come on next to the signal strength bars if that means anything (if I am on wifi) and mobile data is definitely still on. Mobile data works if I turn off wifi. Thanks for the help so far!

@GrahamGrazD

Try switching the phone to use 3g data and turn off wifi.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@GrahamGrazD Convince your friend to invest in an inexpensive smart phone so they can use WhatsApp. In the long run it will save you both money.

The friend of @GrahamGrazD might not even need to invest in a smart 'phone. If he has a PC, laptop or tablet, the likes of Microsoft Teams, Skype and Zoom will fit the bill.

I am not a Facebook user but I believe that Facebook Messenger will do a similar job. 👍
