I am trying to get my contract which I signed less than 14 days ago cancelled

I entered into the o2 refresh contract thinking that I was buying a nexus 4 at £340 and a contract of unlimited minutes and texts. When I signed the contract I noticed a buyout of £460. I have since decided I do not want a contract phone and as it is less than 14 days since the initial contract I went to my local o2 shop twice and have been told that I cannot cancel the contract. Can I buy the phone at £340 and cancel the minutes and insurance?

If you have Brought a Contract phone and Wish to Cancel it or you are Not happy with the Phone and Wish to change it.

Then from the Point of you Receiving the Phone you have 7 Working days to Send it back to them and Cancel.

Anything above 7 working days then you are sadly stuck in the Contract with the Phone for the Period of which Contract you actually took out such as 12 months or 18 months.

It is indeed 7 days.

I work for O2 but my comments and opinions posted here are solely my own and do not reflect those of Telefonica.
