Discount for O2 refresh airtime contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I upgraded (O2  store) to a Samasung Galaxy S4 on O2 refresh.

As I work for the NHS I got a 30% discount on the airtime part of the contract (£22-£6.60=£15.40)- great deal IMHO.

Any idea how long it will take for discount to be applied? was told about 2 months!

thanks

As the first bill is automatically generated straight away any discounts are usually added on the second bill.

I work for O2 but my comments and opinions posted here are solely my own and do not reflect those of Telefonica.

You got a 30% discount? I got £70 off my bill, I guess it must workout about the same at the end of the year...although is yours for the life of the contract?

Although I also get 30% discount off my new refresh airtime its not as good as getting it on a standard tarif because now O2 have (in my eyes) been very crafty and split your bill into 2 parts ....one for cost of phone and one for the airtime.I only get the credit applied to the airtime and my new refresh contract is £5 more expensive per month than it would be on the compatible standard tarif!!!!Am I just being too cynical?

Nope i understand what you ae saying,I find it strange its costing ya more cause when i opted to get a samsung galaxy s4 on refresh it was meant to be £70 upfront and i got that fee waived. But it was costing the same as a proper contract, but you can change when you get bored of the phone or fancy a new one.
