Well I finally got thru. Still got adviser in another window.  He says we have no coverage because handset is at fault.  This makes no sense.  My handset is new, 3 weeks ago.... hubby's got a bells and whistles handset.  Surely both would not become faulty at exactly the same time?  I'm being told the usual... take it to nearest 02.... which is 45 mins drive away....

no just me and hubby here. My phone is dual sim and neither of them working. Both sims work on the 02 network. We have tried cleaning and reinserting sims several times..thanks

Ps  online help guy just said it's because my area only on 2G right now.  Hubbys phone only has 3G or 4G.  I dont even think my phone has a G.  I'm just a basic phone, and not very tech savvy

Ok.

Phones will latch into the strongest signal available.
In the phones settings could be a toggle to turn 3G off.

I'll leave you to it.

I as a fellow customer can assist you no further.

Good luck.

You can rule out your phone by trying a different network sim in it. My local co-op sells then for £1.00 so would be worth popping an EE, Voda or Three sim card in to see if a signal shows up on screen.
This will leave either all your o2 sim cards faulty or a network glitch.
