Is this easy to do?

I suppose when my contrcat is up I give a months notice and tell them which tariff I want to go on, is it as simple as that?

Hi @Anonymous and Welcome to the forum,

You have several options to choose from. slight_smile

Do nothing and your contract will drop on to a 30 day rolling contract.

Upgrade and choose another phone, suitable tariff and lock yourself into another long term contract.

Ask to go on a sim only tariff.

Ask to go onto a Pay as You Go Tariff.

This change can be achieved by contacting Cs on 202 from your mobile phone or by popping into your most local O2 High-Street Store.

Your mobile number remains yours.

Thanks fo that , looking to keep my phone but switch to a better value deal ie there is a sim only deal which offers 1000 mins, unlimited texts and 1 gig of data. This will save me £10 a month over my current 24 month contract.

Hopefully that deal or something similar will be around when I come to the end of my current contrcat.

You're very welcome.

As your happy with your current phone then yes a Sim Only deal would be right for you.

I'm sure there will be something to suite your wants and needs when it's time to choose. slight_smile

If you ever want a handset and do not want to buy one yourself ,then you can ask to be placed on a full blown contract again.

I'm on Payg go go go £15.

150 mins , 1000 texts and 1gb of data.

I'm awaiting the new Payg go go go £20 to give me For £20 a month – 400 mins, 4000 texts and 2Gb of data, with 4G access

How long will it take to change from Pay as you Go mobile phone to Pay Monthly SIM only for a smartphone, keeping the same phone number?
