I got a new O2 contract last Thursday with a temporary number. I called 202 on Saturday morning to get my number from my old O2 contract transferred to the new contract.

I was told that it could take 24h excluding weekends and would be transferred by Tuesday (today) at the latest, and that I would temporarily lose service when it happened. and if this hadn't happened by 18:00 to reset my phone.

I lost service on Saturday morning on BOTH sim cards about an hour after the call, and still don't have any service on either. I cannot call customer support as I dont have any phone service and the webchat just tells me they're too busy and to try again later.

@DW0789 - Guide: Migration & porting into O2  covers what should have happened - if nothing in the relevant section helps, come back here and update.

Hi @pgn I already found this page from another thread with a similar problem. It tells me to call customer service on 202 which I obviously cant do as mentioned in my original post.

O2 CS is not just 202 - see the 3 x Social Media platforms you can use for O2 in the link just below - sometimes better than wasting time in 202 queues... Might take a couple of prompts though: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/O2-Web-Top-Up-not-recognising-a-valid-O2-P... is a personal example.

Crank up FB Messenger or Twitter and hit them with a private or direct message.
