Can only not make out going calls after sim swap

Is it normal that outgoing calls take longer to return after doing a sim swap.

I'm already receiving calls and texts but still can't make outgoing calls.

The while process can take anything up to a few days to complete currently.

Yes, periodically rebooting the phone will help

Or trying forcing it on to another network and then back to O2 manually.
