Hello
I wonder if you can help me.
I call the payments management number to see if I could get an extension on my
payment as it really is to high for me right now but he said there's nothing he can do.
was wondering how it is that he can't do nothing. Especially now it's going to go up as well.
let me know if there's something I can do to change this.
thank you

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

If you are concerned about the forthcoming price rise and your future costs, you could check Uswitch for a cheaper O2 tariff as an "upgrade" ;-

I would try again tomorrow, and try another agent, as sometimes there are things they can do, but it may result in your line been suspended or other restrictions, until the outstanding amount is paid...
It depends on if you have had extensions before on the account, and you have made a promise to pay, failed to pay on past contacts...
If you need debt advice then speak to Citizens Advice or any of the debt charities

An upgrade is only an option if the contract minimum term has been met. No indication that this is the case here.
The reason O2 do affordability checks is to ensure these situations don't arise. Sadly, some people may be inclined to answer the questions in a manner which will ensure they get accepted. One of which is can you afford to pay the amount for the entire length of the contract.
Granted, unforeseen circumstances can happen, but O2 will always help with a payment plan in such cases..
