Account for a sim that was never activated

Anonymous
Not applicable

About 5 months ago give or take, i set up a new contract (through carphonewarehouse), I never actually activated/used the sim card, I put a different 02 sim card of mine into the phone that I got with the contract. The e-mail address that I receive 'your bill is ready' emails on does not have any phones/contracts associated when I use it to log on to the website however and I was just wondering if there is any way to work out how to access the account details for this contract online?

To make matters a little harder, I don't know what the number is of the sim card, and although I do have the sim card somewhere (in a 'safe place' of course), I haven't been able to find it yet to check the number. I would simply ring o2 support but I have anxiety issues with ringing people so would prefer to avoid it unless absolutely neccessary.

Thank you in advance if anyone has any idea how to sort this out.

Hi.

If you opened a pay monthly contract then they would have been taking the monthly amount from your bank account wether you placed the SIM card in a phone or not.

You will probably have to speak to O2 Customer Services via 202 from an O2 powered mobile.

You can e mail them https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help although they may well need to ring you to discuss account enquiries.

Or use Live Chat although we normally don't recommend this but due to the issue you state they should be able to help.

When you find the "safely stored" SIM card put it in your phone and you should receive a number of text messages from O2. One of these messages will contain your logon username and the other the password for the "MY O2" associated with this SIM. You can then log on and see the number, your bills and all account activity etc....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
