My Apple Watch got synced to my phone without me knowing. They didn’t tell me the two contracts had merged. So when I moved my number to another provider I got sent a threatening letter demanding the outstanding balance. I phoned and spoke to someone who assured me someone would call me on 27th to discuss paying off the balance at a time convenient for me (after 5pm). My phone was with me all day. Nobody called me. So now I’m waiting for the next threatening letter to come through the door…… it’s affecting my mental health. They don’t want to admit to their error in miscommunication. Unfortunately for 02 I had the whole call recorded so I can evidence yet again they’ve fudged up! I wonder what they’ll do now……

What would O2 do? Sorry to say they will only pass the debt on to the debt collectors. It's the one area in which O2 are efficient.

Best talking direct to Payment Management

You must only use equipment or SIM Cards for the purposes advertised, described in any user guides, or as instructed by us. You can’t use an O2 SIM card in or connected to any device or hardware other than the device or hardware it is supplied with.
What to avoid: Using equipment or SIM cards other than as intended. For example, using your O2 SIM card in a modem instead of a mobile phone or tablet or using a mobile phone or tablet as a baby monitor would fall outside this Fair Usage Policy.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@KM12024

The T&C's are quite clear in that if you cancel your phone plan any connected watch plans must be paid off in full at the same time.

It is your error in not reading the terms you accepted.

Does my contract expire at the same time as my iPhone?

Unless you bought your iPhone and Apple Watch from O2 at the same time, it’s unlikely that your contracts will expire at the same time.

If you’ve paid off your iPhone Device Plan and want to cancel your iPhone Airtime Plan, you’ll need to pay off any outstanding balance on your Watch Device Plan.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
