Hi
I have an old satnav in my car which doesn't recognise a road that I need to get to.
I am travelling about 60 miles in total down the M6 but from there my satnav in the car is useless.
I have google maps on my phone and I can see that it can get me to where I eed to be but because I only have pay as you go I will need to go into phone settings and turn mobile data on.
Here is the Q. If it takes me about 30 minutes to get to where I am going using google maps can anyone give me a rough idea of how much data would be used/what the cost would be.
Thanks

Naff all is the answer, as it uses between 5 and 10Mb per hour on Android or IOS

You can also use Google Maps offline mode to download the local map to your phone @mucky1957 (assuming you can connect to a WiFi source to do so)?
See some help from Google about doing this on Android:

And on iPhone/iPad:
