Recently in Spain and discovered I couldn't phone UK landlines. I'd phone a number, but the call immediately cancelled, as though it never even makes a connection. Feels like something is blocking these calls.

I could phone other mobile phones.

I'm on a Pay As You Go £10 Rolling Plan.

T&C's say Rolling Plans and Big Bundles include EU calls, but wording isn't clear for the £10 Rolling Plan.

Phoned support (twice) and they were more interested in selling me Pay Monthly tariffs rather than fixing my problem.

I'm back in the UK now and can successfully call the same UK land lines.

Before I enter the support loop of hell.

Has anyone had similar problems.

Thanks in advance

@pjacross

You would be best advised to contact O2 via the socials,

message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Contacted Twitter(X) and they have have identified there is an incorrect security block within their systems.

This has been removed, phone rebooted...so just need to check it works when back in Spain next week. If it works, I'll close this.

This is a known bug within the O2 Fraud and Arbitrage Platform. The IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identifier) number doesn't recognise and authenticate my SIM across different networks.

....and yes, contacting the social media accounts is a much better experience.
