Bundle expiry and keeping the number active

I'm likely to be unable to travel back to the UK for an extended period of time due to the COVID situation. Therefore I'm looking at ways to retain my UK mobile number.

My £15 big bundle has just expired, and my understanding is that I need a chargable activity on my account within 180 days.

What are my best options?

Would I, for instance, be able to top up £10 now, then the bundle is unable to renew but I can send a text in 5 months time and use that as the chargeable activity?

Once bundles have expired and can't be renewed with existing credit does it behave as the old classic PAYG?

OR will I have to top up £10 in 5 months time and change to the £5 bundle which will then renew for a second month effectily costing me £10 every 6 months to keep my number active?

Thanks.

Hi @jb87

To keep your sim active you need to make a chargeable call, send a chargeable text or use data once every 6 months and top up every 999 days.

Once a bundle expires you will be charged at the standard rate for the country you are in. It wouldnt revert to Classic as that is no longer available.
