Adding Apple Watch to pay as you go?

I assume I can’t add an apple watch cellular to my pay as you go account? 
If not does am I able to add it to sim only accounts or can you only add them to pay monthly?

Nope.


Can only be added to a Pay Monthly account either Sim Only or Refresh, and you need to pay the £5 a month access charge as well. 

 

(Sim Only is a pay monthly contract).

Thanks for replying.

So if I changed to a sim only contract from pay and go and bought an apple watch from Apple direct, I could add that on for an extra £5 a month and it would use the data and minutes etc from my main plan?

That isnt how it works, as your watch has a data limit of its own, but it will use your minutes and texts, as you are using them as if calling from your phone.. 

 

Bare in mind it is all subject to credit and affordability checks, even for £5

I only just came off pay monthly to go on pay as you go, not worried about credit checks etc.
So the £5 includes the cost of data? or is that an extra cost on top? I barely use any data anyway, normally less than  1gb a month. so mainly the calls and texts i'm interested in.

It's all included in the £5 per month and the data is unlimited @Dreadpirateflap
