Hello, I have an elderly relative who has the older Nokia 105.

They have been getting messages that the network is being switched off soon as the phone is not 4G.

They have a 4G simcard in it, even though there is no 4g on the phone. Will they be able to keep using the old phone with the 4g sim card in it, or will they need to get a new phone?

They like the Nokia 105 and don't want to upgrade to a smartphone. So if the 4g sim will still work in it, that would be great.

thanks.

When 3G shuts down the will still be able to make and receive calls and text messages over 2G. If it's not the 4G version then that will be it.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
