is 01612749217 a trusted partner or scam?

I had a call today from 01612749217 and seemed legit however after googling the number people where calling it a scam. Could anyone please confirm?

@Anonymous My Google search didn't show the number was either a trusted partner or a scam. A general rule of thumb we always suggest is don't agree to anything from a cold caller, whether they're a trusted partner or not.

@Anonymous  It's a Manchester number and has a negative rating with https://www.shouldianswer.co.uk/phone-number/01612749217. Either telesales for utilities or insurance.

I also found nothing at all related to O2. As @Bambino says, you can block them, though they invariably turn up again appearing with one digit changed in the number .

If you want to upgrade or take a new contract, call customer service yourself or go into an o2 store.
Don’t trust anyone who cold calls and tries to pressure you into something.
