Help! O2 has ruined my credit rating and I am applying for a mortgage ASAP

Hello, I've tried to contact O2 Customer Service but are having no success. 
 
@Martin-O2 is there any chance you could contact me ASAP at bethiemoseley**Personal info** as I don't have access to log in to O2 community (this has been sent via a friends account).
 
We were due to get a mortgage TODAY (Wedneday) but was denied as my credit rating had been affected by a mistake made by O2! I took out and returned a phone within it's cooling off period in November but the O2 system wasn't correctly updated and so my account logged it that I had been defaulting on it for the last 8 months and so resulting in a low credit rating. HELP! We are desperate! The house we have finally found and the chain we are in hangs on this! We need the credit rating to be reversed today as we have to prove our mortgage or we will lose the property.

@NightStar It's obviously too late to do anything about this today. 

Unfortunately, this is something we see happening here regularly. I don't know what, if anything, @Martin-O2 can do about this, but you'll probably need to contact the Credit Referrals Team at some point. There is no phone number to speak to anyone:

Just so you are aware it can take up-to 60 days for the Credit Agencies to update their records, as they are not updated in real time.

And from my dealings with Credit Referrals they can take upto 15days to respond.

You can put a notice of correction on the Agency that the bank use to say there is a query.

I would make sure you have all the evidence to say that you cancelled the account, as this may speed up the o2 process.
