Delete Account?

I hope I'm posting this in the right place? I set up a 'My O2' account years ago to just send free texts. I'd now like to delete this account, but am having trouble doing so. Do I just have to let it expire or is there an instant way of doing it?

If you can still access the account change the password to something obscure and forget about it.

I believe the account might be removed if not used for a long time.

The online sms service is being withdrawn anyway on the 1st November.

I don't think you can delete it yourself so you could call CS to get it deleted or just ignore it.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Yeah, I couldn't seem to find a way of doing it myself. Seems calling them or letting it run out are my only options, thanks for the help slight_smile

You can't delete it and O2 tell you just not to use it and it will deleted normally after 6 months when you will no longer be able to log into it.

In that case I think I'll just leave it to expire. Thanks for the help everyone! slight_smile
