If this is a replacement sim for a lost/stolen phone, it may be the original bar is still in place. Contact customer service to have it removed. Even webchat should be able to resolve this for you.

What phone is it, where did it come from, do you have any credit or is your account not up to date with payments?

Good Morning,

Occasionally a new account can take a couple of hours to 24hours + to fully activate, so keep turning the phone ofand on to help reboot the services.

Remove the sim and wipe it down first.

I assume the handset your using is fully unlocked to all networks or locked to 02 so would accept the 02 sim. If your using a sim adapter these can cause issues by not seating properly in the sim tray.

If no joy then please contact 02 Customer Services to ensure your account is ok.

Live Chat Services are fine for Low Level General Enquiries, not connected to Account Enquiries.

Occasionally a sim can be faulty and can be replaced by visiting an 02 High-Street Store to ask for a blank sim, and ask the employee to carry out the swap my sim procedure which moves your tariff and number over to the new sim card. Same applies as above about this taking a few hours to fully activate.

Hope all goes well.

Take care.
