Hey so i just crossed over from croatia into Montenegro and before I even got the text About the data usage all my data top up balance was instantly used which was 35£ worth. I legit rushed to turn off data roaming but I dont think its fair that O2 have done this. I hadnt even crossed the montenegro border yet! And was sure that I would turn off my data roaming before I got to the gate! Please can someone help me I need that money back and I dont even know how to call O2 from montenegro

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , you might get a sympathetic adviser to help you with this
Thanks.

Blame your phone, as it will use the strongest signal, and at borders if it is the neighbouring countries network the it will use that, nothing to do with o2, nor anything they can control.
o2 will not refund any monies for this.
To avoid this in future make sure you have manual network selection chosen.
