I’ve recently just opened a new contract meaning i had to make a new 02 account I’m still currently waiting on my phone but my 02 app still won’t let me on and it has been longer than 48 hours can anyone help me on why I can’t get into it yet ? Or will it start to work when I receive my phone

Yes, when you get an email to say your phone has been dispatched, you will find My |O2 to be up and running. You will be able to track the phone then https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-monthly/how-to-track-your-order
It often is available before then, so you can see 'Processing'.
I wouldn't worry just yet..
