Hi, i recently went to Spain and my mobile phone would not connect to 4G at all the whole week i was there. When i was a Virgin customer my phone would automatically connect and i could use whatsapp for messages & calls at no extra cost. Now my contract has been moved to O2 the automatic connection to 4G and use free use of of my data while roaming doesnt seem to be working.
Can you please advise?

Some things to try:
Manually search for another network
Reboot the phone
Turn off 5g in network settings
If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account.
If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
If still using your Virgin sim, go in store with photo ID for a free swap to an O2 sim.
