is there some loophole in the law that means o2 does not have to provide vo lte and wifi calling when you have a o2 classic pay as you go sim card ?

in my Gigaset GS5 LITE, both sim 1 and 2 have vo lte and wifi calling, i have tried my sky mobile sim in both sim 1 and 2, and in both vo lte and wifi calling work

with the   o2 classic pay as you go sim card, my Gigaset GS5 LITE gives me the option to turn on vo lte and wifi calling, but because of a loophole in the law, it means o2 doesn't have to provide vo lte and wifi calling when you have a o2 classic pay as you go sim card

from January 2025, 3g will start to be turned off, this means for calls, it will go down to 2g, that's worse call quality

They dont have to provide service on anything they dont want its a commercial decision, nothing in law prevents it.. and o2 PAYG is probably going to be got rid of as other networks get rid of theres...

Your choice is as you are a PAYG customer is get a PAC code and leave if you need to use these services..

let me tell you what is also a commercial decision

NOT to fix phone masts after 2 weeks

Screenshot 2024-07-14 215228.png

this costs o2 money to fix , they made a commercial decision NOT to fix it after more than 2 weeks

EDIT:

counted wrong, it's now 3 weeks
