I have the trade up 90 day option with my phone, however the app directs me to the store to upgrade. Finally got round to going to a store yesterday and after a 30 minute wait was met with an associate and manager who would not trade in my phone due to the damage on it (I'll come back to this)
Being very concerned that for the first time in the history of owning iPhones I had damaged one to this extent I went to the Apple Store round the corner and asked them to look. They could not find any visual damage until I pointed out the scratch on the screen, at which point the apple techs laughed and asked who had refused this as trade in.... I replied O2. They offered to trade it in for me.
I then went to the EE store. Not only do they offer better deals than O2, but they were willing to trade my phone in with this tiny scratch and I have to say I'm templated.
I called O2 this morning to fill you in on what happened and see if there were any other options but it seems you are happy to close me to EE as there's nothing you can do.
We also have Virgin broadband, maybe we should switch that too. Is O2 really that big that it can just lose customers like this? Why did I pay for a package that allowed to upgrade for 2 years when clearly you wouldn't allow me to upgrade?

Just a tip - get a couple of PAYG SIMS, one from EE, one from someone other than EE or O2 and check coverage in your area and areas you visit frequently, as coverage maps from all the networks tend to be sparing with the truth. Good luck!

Also, love the fact that O2 cares so much about their discussions and feedback forum that the headers and footers aren't even working on the site... Someone better call the IT crowd.
