I key into the Community Search box ross brawn and the following results are produced.

N.B. It says Do you mean Ross brawn undeneath the actual search requested.

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?q=ross+brawn

After clicking on the alternative search Ross brawn the following is returned :

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?q=Ross%20brawn

Can anybody explain to me the difference between the 2 sets of results ?

Have you noticed how any search string with a "2" in it immediately adds "Do you mean xxxxxx O2" ?

Try searching "complaints 2016" or "roaming 2017"

If I intended searching for a string containing "O2" then I would have inserted it myself !!

Search function box on here is worse than useless. Most of the time it's quicker to make a google search.

So to shown you what I got when I clicked on the links you provided.

Yes every time. ..In fact when typing Formula 1 2017 I get a return of "Do you mean Formula O2"

Sounds like a cache somewhere has got itself in a bit of a muddle...

@pgnthis isn't recent. The search facility on this forum has always been pathetic. We have had long discussions with previous managers, (Leonard, Chiara and Toby). All agreed it was 'poor' and would be looked into.....been waiting for years for improvement...nothing...tired

@Cleoriff. Easy enough to get Google to search it, using "inurl:community.o2.co.uk" in your query:

Yes it's easy enough.....but not the point.

There's a search function specifically for the Community which is not fit for purpose.

I agree if there was no search function then Google would adequately do the job........so perhaps O2 should get rid of theirs if they can't make it function effectively.
