How long to be connected??????

Bought a pay and go phone on Thursday having lost my last one (was about 5 yrs old). I was assured in the shop that it would be 48 hours at the most for the number to be activated on a new sim to use with my new phone. Still waiting after talking to a Guru on line then making a phone call and revisiting the shop 15 miles away at 3 o'clock. I have been assured repeatedly that there is no problem with the account and it will be activated so WHY AM I STILL WAITING!! They have the money but I have no service.

If it was after 3pm on Thursday I would not expect it to be live till monday.

Try rebooting the phone (take out battery and SIM) then power it up.
