Not sure exactly where to put this, but I am sure it will be moved if it clearly belongs elsewhere.
I've noticed the Mobile view of the Community Forum allows you to "Follow" other forum members:
In the Full view, you can Add a forum user "to Friends":
I assume (!) these actions are synonymous, in Lithium terms.
My question: What is the advantage of adding other members as Friends, or Following them (other than permitting them to see more of your profile or status) ?
Buried in the mists of Lithium time...?

You can also add people to Ignore list.
All of which is irrelevant, if, like me, you go straight to unread topics and plough through them all.

Following or being followed...
Sounds very "stalker-ish"...I know a thing or two about stalking. I could give lessons
Don't need lessons, I'm quite good at it myself @Cleoriff
So watch out @gmarkj
