Is any one else having problems accessing their email account as and from yesterday,my phone tells me to look at settings but I have changed nothing

No, your email address stays the same but just change it in the incoming and outgoing settings:
Incoming should be imap.virginmedia.com
Outgoing should be smtp.virginmedia.com

Is it O2 mail?
If so it may have been closed down (all O2 email closing around now)....
If not O2, which provider, as BT are also switching their email servers at the moment too.....

OK, so you need to use virginmedia.com now in place of ntlworld.com.

No, it doesn't change anything else - It's just the server details.
Let me know how it goes as you might also need to change your ports if they don't update automatically.

Just to let you know how I went on.i changed the incoming/outgoing settings and it didn't work,I did though lose all my saved emails,I put settings back to were they were I within an hour my saved emails were back and now my email service is working ok,thanks for the help M15,I reckon there must have been a fault at O2 like you said earlier
