Calling from uk to usa

Hi guys my parents are going to america soon to visit my brother & family my dad has both a uk mobile (EE) old tarriff (his) and he has a american mobile now my question is witch would be cheaper for me to call if I had to?

iPhone 15 plus 128Gb light pink & Apple watch series 9 pink (Celluar all with Vodafone slight_smile

I assume he is PAYG? If so he will need credit on it to receive any calls, but he can receive texts for free.
For you to call a US mobile on your O2 PAYG phone it is £1.50 per minute and 20p to send a text.

It's free for you to call his EE mobile but he will be charged to receive the calls.
You are better off Skyping or using some other voip app.

He's on a very old EE tarrif he just pays for what he uses this tarrif no loger exists and what about his american mobile? (if calll it)

Also, you could get an O2 International sim to call him from to his US mobile which would only cost you 2p per min.

@blissgirl If your dad gets a Three Pay & Go sim which will cost him around £20 minimum, you can call him for free, and he can receive your calls for free without paying any roaming charges. He can call and text back to the UK just using the tariff he's paid for. He can use his US sim for his calls and texts within the US.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
