Argh, no next day delivery

So, frustrating, O2 cannot seem to delivery next day to Northern Ireland. Despite it saying if you order before 4.30pm it will be delivered next day to Northern Ireland. Every order has taken 2 days to deliver and even DHL website states its been sent on a 48hr service - despite this, on an upgrade order I placed today, I paid £5.99 for next day before 12noon. I did it so I could get it tomorrow - wasnt too concerned if it was before 12noon... but DHL has just text me - they have my parcel and it will be delivered FRIDAY. 

Is the warehouse team deliberately sending orders out on the wrong delivery method, or do they just ignore the delivery method customer select 😕

Going on posts here O2 have never been good on deliveries. And they still don't have a live stock system. People can order for next day and the item is not even in stock.

There are several O2 Shops available for you to get any current handset, if in stock, in the day you walk in, @CorGre - all deliveries to NI are slower, if possible at all since the decision to leave the EU by GB and leaving NI partially in the EU. Paperwork seems to be the bugbear. Also Currys stores in NI stock handsets that work with O2's Service.

I understand that there is issues, DHL have ALWAYS delivered next day... its O2 that is ordering it on 'Premier 48' rather than any delays with DHL unfortunately.

Yes, as mentioned above, no distributed in-country (Northern Ireland) warehousing facility for O2, and the most cost-effective service between GB and NI is the 48-hr service with DHL, @CorGre

Asking for a service that DHL cannot offer will only add delay.  A shame that O2 don't make this clear on their ordering page...
