Having been on a 2 hour call to o2 regarding a query and to change bank account details, I have now received a text telling me that they are sorry I’m leaving, and I’ll be disconnected later today.
Needless to say I’m back on the phone and chat trying to resolve the issue. 😤

@CT66 It seems that O2's customer service just gets worse and worse by the day. Probably the best thing for you to do is to speak to the Payment Management Team on 0800 902 0217. With any luck you'll get someone who has at least one working brain cell.
The opening times are:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
Saturday – 8am to 6pm
Sunday – 9am to 6pm

I’d noticed I was getting charged for two Apple Watch data plans in error. Decided to contact o2 for the 10th time this week, and have now been messaged about my imminent disconnection.
