iphone 7 no sound when recording videos/voice notes

anyone ever had bother with their phone not recording sound? i can still make phone calls etc and hear people but i go to take an actual video no sound is picked up on it

This may be a silly question but have you got sound turned up in settings for media?

I ask, as I made the same mistake myself about 2 years ago!

Is the microphone turned on? Have you had an option to ask you to allow microphone access

yes, was working fine previously. just happened in the last day

yeah. it does pick up sound but it’s very fuzzy and if your to talk you don’t here it on the video

updated snapchat and whatsapp and is working fine now! thanks for you suggestions anyway
