Upgraded to new phone - does my number come along automatically?

Ok, I'm pretty sure during the upgrade to new handset, 5C -> SE, somewhere in the messages on screen it said I don't need to do the sim-swap thing, because 02 would handle all that for me....

So the SE was delivered yesterday, and I put the accompanying sim into it - and waited and waited and waited ...

It's the next day, and all I see is my old handset still working, no service on the new handset and my02 still tells me I have the old handset.... the 5C.

Is this going to be one of those days ????

Edit. OK, same size SIM, so I just swapped the sim out of the 5C into the SE, and I have signal...so hopefully it will be ok.

hmmm,

Shouldn't need to do a sim swap as the SE has the nano sim size as well. Just pop your current sim in & all should be fine

Hi @Anonymous

You need to keep rebooting the phone. If your old sim works in your new phone it may take some time to catch up. Sim swap procedure should you need it http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/

The new sim is just in case you need one for the new phone of a different size.
You can (should) continue to use the old sim and keep the new one as a spare.
