Iphone 5 Nano sim

Hi,

I'm new to the forum so any help would be greatly appreciated. I've had a IPhone 3GS for the last couple of years and my partner has just bought me the IPhone 5. Now I have saved all my pictures on my PC and synched my old phone to Itunes, firstly does this mean that all my contacts from my current phone are saved?

Secondly I have just ordered a new nano sim which will arrive in three days, I want to keep my number if that's possible but I don't know how to do it - can anyone advise?

Finally if I can keep my number on the new sim if I then plug into my Tunes will it automatically transfer all my contacts/messages?

Sorry for the naiveté but just want to double check everything before I start swapping stuff around!

Thank you all in advance for any help or advise.

Natalie

Had you been using iCloud on your 3GS?

If you have then with iCloud its possible to store/backup your contacts.

But iTunes does backup your contacts. So when you restore your new iPhone off of the backup you took off of your 3GS, then your contacts etc should all be there too.

I also like to have iCloud backing up the contacts so that I have more than one backup of my contacts and also, with having an iPad, Mac, all my contacts are kept in sync and are viewable on all these devices too.

To keep your number just pick up a blank payg or pay monthly nano sim from an 02 shop or ring them on 202 for pay monthly customers or 4445 for payg customers and perform a sim swap.

This fully activates from 2 hours to approximate 24 hours. Just keep turning your phone off and on to help reset it.

Link for doing this yourself online or the 02 store staff can do it for you too.

This will transfer your number and tariff across.

I prefer to back up to both iCloud and I tunes just to be safe !!
