Charged while on unlimited text

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello, i recently saw that ive been charged 58p for a message while im on unlimited texts. I've sent a picture message to a friend (non ios device). Or can it be from using and sending pictures over "whatsapp"?? Last note; whatsapp sent me a text with my pin to activate my application, can it be from that? Im on an iPhone 5 btw. Thanks.

Whatsapp is free dont worry:) I use it myself. (How do they pay for those servers:/) whatsapp all comes out of your data allowance.

Picture messages are not included in the allowance so if presume the charge is for that:( sorry

Do you have MMS included in your tariff, if not they're chargeable?

I'm trying to work out how 25p(cost of mms) can go into 58p.

Side note: I win for a change haha

I believe iMessage pictures are sent as normal texts (so mms).

I just couldn't work out the extra 8p haha.

Only way to do it without additional charges would be email(data) or whatsapp them(data)

If links are not classed as mms (I don't think they are) you could use "picup" a free image hosting app that you can mail links from to the image. Presuming they are savoury images.
