Are iPads locked with O2 network?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Quick question. I got an iPad air from O2 a couple of months ago and I wanna ask if it's locked with O2 network or not. I m planning to travel in the next months and I want to use foreign sim cards for cheap internet access.

Thanks

Yes, they are locked and yes you can unlock. Follow details here http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-SIM-ca...

Yes the Cellular ones are.

Try another UK sim in it.

Just do an unlock request over live chat, they can do this as the forms are for phones and not tablets.

Not a stupid question 😄

I would think its the same process of unlocking an iPhone. Request via the unlock form and insert another non O2 UK SIM card on receiving the email.
