Apple Watch Cellular Setup

I have a pay monthly SIM only plan with O2 that includes unlimited data. I have just tried to activate my Apple Watch 7 and when I log into O2 it's saying that I need to sign up for 'O2 Sim Only Unlimited data' at £5 per month which will be added to my monthly bill.

Why am I being forced to do this when I already have a pay monthly Sim Only Unlimited data plan?!

You can still use the watch over bluetooth but to use the watch as it was intended means it will need a seperate data plan as the esim comes with a seperate phone number that links to your mobile number
