@Martin-O2 hello,

I've been struggling to use a virgin mobile sim on an old Samsung A5 device (which is an old o2 contract).

I've seen others have had similar issues - is anyone able to help please.

I have the message "SIM network blocked. Enter SIM network PUK."

I've tried all sorts of unlatching codes and PUK codes but keeps saying unsuccessful. This has been ongoing for about 4 weeks now

Please can anyone help?

Many thanks

@RoxyandDoug

If it's an old phone it's probably locked. You need to follow the info in this guide

Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card

If you have issues then contact O2

If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

Hi, thanks or getting in touch so quickly.

I have tried this before but will give it another go. I've had unlatching codes, text messages and phone calls to try and get this resolved - feels a little bit the the twilight zone.

I will try again with the form and hopefully this will work.

Hello, unfortunately this hasn't worked - o2 sent me the same code as they had previously which comes back as unsuccessful.

They are sending me an unlatching code?

Is there anything else I can try?

@RoxyandDoug

You need a master unlock code.

@lewys-gp or @RafaC can help you.

Thanks both for your assistance with the OP, @Cleoriff @MI5 😊.

I've given you a private message about the code, @RoxyandDoug.

Hi there,

Please could you provide any assistance? I've got the same issue as R&D. I've contacted O2 customer services with no luck. How do I get the master code, please?

Many thanks
