Transfer Whatsapp history from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy S7

Hey all

I'm having real issues in transferring my whatsapp history from iPhone to Samsung.

The whatsapp history will back up automatically on iCloud and that's great if you're just changing your iPhone to another iPhone.

If I want to 'restore' my messages on the Samsung then I can only do it is if the back up done on to Google Drive.  iPhone automatically do it on iCloud and no other way.

I'm begining to pull my hair out and Wazzap Migrator is not recognising my recent back up and it's not on iCloud / iCloud Drive. 

If I email / export the separate chats on to iCloud then again, I have no way of restoring it on my Samsung.

I'm assuming the only way we can do this is by extracting the files from iTunes every time I back up my data, it doesn't allow me to pull files. 

These messages are really important to me and contains lots of sentimental phones, hence why I need all the chat historys transferred from iPhone to Samsung.

on the iphone you can save the pictures to the photo app so this may be a work around for you to keep your photos, if you dont find a way do move your chats over.

Hi,

I've got sooo many photos but there's also the contents of the messages. If it was just the photo's then I wouldn't have been that fussed and saved the pictures but I also need the contents of the messages transferred over too thank you.

OK i have had a look my self and hope these will be of some help.  But please make sure that your iphone is backed up befor you try these, just incase.

You can't do it without 3rd party software as they are backed up in different locations which don't talk to each other.

Android on Google drive and iPhone on iCloud.

Ahh rubbish, i think i will send my S20ultra back then. Really need everything on my watsapp!
