Texts/Calls going through to old phone

Hey everyone.

A few days ago I upgraded from the Samsung S8 to the S20 FE. I was sent a new sim and I was keeping my number. I followed the instructions - put the new sim in, used the code and serial number, and it was switched.

However... All my texts and calls are still being received on my old phone, and not coming through to my new phone. What's weird is I sent someone a text just to test it out, and it worked, and they text me back. But anything else, such as password reset texts, or verification texts (which I need to log into work) are all automatically going to my old phone and no sign of them on my new one.

Anyone know a fix for this? I've tried Googling, but all I could find was discussion about iPhones and having to disable the chat feature.

Also noticed my previous plan is showing in my O2 Account.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

@OJones90

Go into the message app on your old phone and in advanced features you should find RCS messaging.

Remove or delete your account from there on the old phone.

Then on the new phone, do the same, but add your number or login with your account details.

Thanks!
