Not Turning On_Samsung A3

Anonymous
Not applicable

My Samsung A3 isn't switching on, I thought it was out of charge but have tested it on multiple samsung chargers now, none of which have worked, I have tried reseting but this did nothing. I got the phone from O2 in September after I sent in my broken one. To my knowlege it hasn't been dropped and I can't find any other reason why it won't work. It was fine when I went to bed and when I woke up it wasn't working.

I tried it on three different chargers and I tried reseting it. Took it to the O2 shop today and they tried a few things too. Nothing worked, they told me it was dead and due to the fact I'd only had it three months it was probably a faulty phone to begin with. I had to buy a new one today as there was nothing they could do

Hold the power button for at least 30 secs to see if anything happens.
Also, if a flat battery is likely, it may need half an hour or more on the charger before you get a response from it.
If all else fails it would be wise to contact Samsung directly.

Don't know if this tip will work on Samsung devices but I have similar issues on my old Nexus 4 (LG) and original Moto X. What I did then was to press the power button and hold it whilst inserting the mains charger lead (not usb hub powered). Most times it came back on and sometimes it took a few attempts before it would boot.

How old is the phone?
