Just had the software update that fixes a few issues become available (this isn't an Android update) just fixes some camera and stabilty issues.

Hadn't noticed any issues with the camera myself, however it's good to see HTC are on the ball - if this update IMPROVES the quality of images then surely the 'One' will have no peers and rightfully be crowned the best, bar none

This phone may very well be the best phone out there at the moment, but it may be their last. This article doesn't forecast very good things for the company. Shame, really.

I hope that's just all a speculative assumption....
The opinion of one 'journalist', one who (unless he's a moron) either doesn't realise that by peddling that sort of doom and gloom he is pouring fuel on the fire, or one who is being fed back-handers by the competition to do just that (in which case he is a moron).
Personal preferences aside, the HTC One is one of, if not the best handset available today and that alone should - hopefully - be enough to see it succeed in the smartphone market. HTCs' problem is that the general buying public are a gullible lot, and unfortunately are easily swayed by scaremongering in the press.
Let's hope the quality of this phone is enough to shine through all the **bleep** and put HTC back in contention. After all - if there's no competition, then there's no choice

I would agree somewhat but I would now be worried about future updates/support for the phone but hopefully it will all turn around had a feel of a one in the o2 shop the other day you cant fault the feel and quality

Well, sales in the UK seem very strong. I've made a few posts on Facebook about the One and I'm surprised how many of my friends have picked one up. I think it may pull a few people away from iPhones because it isn't a lump of plastic!
When I got mine at the weekend, the O2 shop I signed the contract in had sold out, so I had to drive 10 miles to pick up the only phone in another store.
I don't get the impression it was low stock levels, it's just selling well. I hope so, it's a great phone!
I watched The Hobbit on it last night. The sound and picture quality impressed. Especially the sound.
