As the above says, my HTC One S has just started to get hot when not in use, & i've noticed that the battery is now running out quick, full charge from about 10am today with no use al all today and at 3pm it's very hot even through the case and the battery has 14% left on it and running down quick

 

the phone is just over a year old

sorry MI5, no canny mind, as what did get turned on a good few days ago was automatic updates when in a WiFi area, this has now been turned off

Back up your photos and anything else you need to keep and do a factory reset. It will at least rule out any apps if it still overheats afterwards.
