Hi all.

I am not being able to get a verification code from WhatsApp regardless of what I try.

I have a second SIM card on the same phone, from a different provider and that work instantly.

Could really use some help here

Thanks

Hi @JP87

We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here.

Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) OR 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)

Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

Thanks everyone, I have tried the solution above, restarted my phone and it still didn't work.

I'll call them after work, hopefully they'll sort me out.

Hi there,

Just for the update I had a conversation with one of O2's staff and nothing was sorted as my account was just fine, at most there's congestion in the area I live.

I got a new phone, tested it out, nothing worked.

Any other ideas?

I've sent whatsapp an email, they were more concerned that the phone was dual sim instead of sorting this out.

Ok. I think I have managed to get this to work.

I decided to do some exploring on what other people have experienced on other forums/websites/youtube.

One of the solutions was to change the app's permissions before requesting the SMS.

I cleared cache and memory, uninstalled, rebooted, installed again. I went to apps permissions and allowed phone calls and SMS, rebooted again.

It started working and it is working now.

Hope this helps someone.
